About the forum

Ukrainian Resilience Week is an annual event where local governments, experts, buisness and international partners join forces to strengthen the resilience of Ukrainian cities.

The event promotes the exchange of knowledge, tools, and practices that help communities adapt to the challenges of war and mobilize resources for implementing systemic change.

Last year, Ukrainian Resilience Week brought together more than 250 participants from 50 communities, along with representatives of 20 national and international organisations. The forum’s special guest was Marta Kos, European Commissioner for Enlargement.

The event is supported by the project "Strengthening of Urban Resilience in the Areas of Supply Infrastructure and Housing in Ukraine (SUR)" which is a part of the German transitional development assistance, commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH
